Frequently Asked Questions
Do you ship internationally?
We extend our services globally, offering worldwide shipping. Please note that international clients are responsible for any applicable local taxes, customs, and duties upon arrival.
When will my order ship?
Every Don Kaka garment is made to order in our Los Angeles studio. Most orders ship within 1–3 weeks, with many shipping sooner. Pieces colored with natural plant dyes may require a few additional days, as they are plant dyed in small batches as part of our production process.
How do I choose sizing?
You can reference our size guide [here].
Because each garment is made to order, we are able to accommodate a wide range of sizing adjustments. We encourage you to include any relevant measurements—such as height, weight, inseam, waist, chest, or bust—in your order notes so we can help ensure the best possible fit.
We also offer custom inseam lengths and complimentary post-purchase resizing. If your garment does not fit exactly as intended, you may send it back to us for adjustments.
What is your return policy?
As each Don Kaka garment is made specifically for its owner, we are unable to accept returns at this time.
However, we stand behind the fit of our garments and offer complimentary resizing. If your piece requires adjustment, simply send it back to us and we will tailor it to your preferred fit.
Where are your clothes made?
Every Don Kaka garment is made by our team in our Los Angeles studio.
We oversee every stage of production ourselves allowing us to maintain exceptional craftsmanship, ethical working conditions, and complete transparency throughout the process.
How do you wash your garments?
• Merino Wool: Wool is naturally odor-resistant and antibacterial, so frequent washing is often unnecessary. In many cases, simply hanging your garment outdoors or lightly steaming it will refresh it. When a wash is necessary, machine wash with like colors on a delicate or wool cycle using cold water and a natural wool soap. Never put wool in the dryer, instead lay it flat to dry on a towel or drying rack. For long-term storage, keep it clean in a cool, dark place with a lavender or cedarwood sachet to prevent insect damage.
• Organic Cotton: While less delicate than wool, organic cotton should still be treated with care to maximize its life. We recommend washing with like colors on a cold, delicate cycle using a natural soap, and hang drying.
Why do you only use natural fibers?
Most modern clothing is made from synthetic materials such as polyester, nylon, and acrylic, fibers derived from plastic that shed microplastics throughout their lifespan and are treated with toxic, hormon-disrupting chemical finishes.
At Don Kaka, we choose natural fibers because we believe clothing should work in harmony with both the human body and the natural world. We seek out materials that are breathable, biodegradable, and minimally processed, allowing their inherent qualities to remain intact.
Our commitment extends beyond sustainability. We believe the future of clothing should prioritize human health, environmental stewardship, and a deeper connection to the materials we wear every day.
